Hello Fabulous Fremont Family

I feel so honored to be working here at John C. Fremont High School. This is a school that is rich in history and culture. As Fremont celebrates its centennial anniversary in the coming year, I am glad to be a part of the Pathfinder family.

My family came to this country from Cuba when I was six months old and we lived in Lynwood where Plaza Mexico is today. Fremont High School is much like Lynwood was during my youth and I am so happy to be able to give back to a community like the one I grew up in.

Prior to coming to Fremont, I worked as a Math Teacher, a Dean, and a Restorative Justice Coordinator at Bell High School for the last 22 years. Throughout those years I realized that the best way to improve student academic success and school safety was by building relationships with all stakeholders. Now that I am here at Fremont High School, I will start to build those relationships to see if it helps me on this new Path.

Hola Familia Fremont Fabulosa!

Me siento muy honrado de trabajar aquí en la Escuela Secundaria John C. Fremont. Esta es una escuela rica en historia y cultura. Mientras Fremont celebra su centenario el próximo año, me complace ser parte de la familia Pathfinder.

Mi familia vino a este país desde Cuba cuando yo tenía seis meses y vivíamos en Lynwood, donde hoy está Plaza México. La escuela secundaria John C. Fremont es muy parecida a Lynwood durante mi juventud y estoy muy feliz de poder retribuir a una comunidad como en la que crecí.

Antes de venir a Fremont trabaje en la escuela secundaria de Bell por 22 años. Trabajé como profesor de matemáticas, decano y coordinador de justicia restaurativa. Durante esos 22 años me di cuenta de que la mejor manera de mejorar el éxito académico de los estudiantes y la seguridad escolar era establecer relaciones con todas las partes interesadas. Ahora que estoy aquí en la secundaria de Fremont, comenzaré a construir esas relaciones para ver si me ayudan en este nuevo Camino.
