hi Fremont thank you for coming to this training session on Adobe spark today we're going to create a virtual poster so here this is Adobe spark and you're going to login you seen your Google account or Gmail this is I'm using my personal account this is free for teachers and students again you Google Adobe Spa and you login using your Gmail this is Adobe spark I already have an account so I don't need to set anything up but in the beginning It'll ask you questions of what your role is an education and while you're visiting this page so I'm going to go to the plus sign on the left hand side and you see that it says plus home projects brand cetera going to start a new project so I'm going to press the plus sign and I'm going to create it buyer for my digital poster I know this is a little bit hard to tell but I already have a poster here in the background you can see a very small outline here this is a blank poster and that's what I want to use for today do 4 today my lesson was on imperialism and I've already given my students know get a PowerPoint now I'm going to have them reflect by creating a digital poster and they will be answering the following three questions number one what is imperialism number to how did imperialism benefit the United States and number 3 how did imperialism affect small Nations so those are the questions they will answer on the poster and I'm going to show you how to create this poster first thing I want to do is to add a background so I'm going slick on the flyer and I'm going to choose the color you saw that it automatically gives you the different color options so for my poster I want I want a blue background going to go to the darker blue now I want to add a title so this is quick text I'm going to press the add button which is on you right hand side and you gives you different options text photo icon or logo for this I want to text and you can choose from these templates down here by 6 falling down you get to choose whichever one you want or you can add text here for this in this case because it's a I know I'm going to choose this one of them stand out a little more so I see that it says get started here going to double click and it's going to take me to space where I can type my title is Gary ilysm and I wanted an all caps now it's in the center of the page I do not want it there's only click and drag there it is I want to change the color so I'm going to make sure it's selected and then on your right hand side you have the toolbar and you have type you have color shape effects in style I'm going to go with color and I want to give you a different color coordination do you get to choose whatever your whatever is most appealing to you interesting so I'm going to leave it like this now I'm going to add a photo to my poster I've already saved pictures on my computer so when I click on ADD photo and it says upload photo here so I'm going to click on that and it takes me to my pictures on the computer so I'm going to start by selecting this picture and now that I have my picture I'm going to make it a little smaller and wanted to be right at this corner hey so there's my picture now cancel that first question of what is imperialism so I'm going to go to at again and I'm going to act text this time because it's not a title I'm just going to press add your text and I'm going to type in. Lasagna yes when is stronger Nation over uses hours to another Nation and my text is there and you can see that and it gave me the same shape and color as my title but I want to change. So what I'm going to do is I'm how to go to shape on the right hand side and I'm going to change it and you can see that it's quite big right now but I can definitely change that as well I am actually not feeling those background so I'm going to just keep it like this and I want to change that font but I have to press type and then I'm going to change it to something that I feel MR2 Spyder and you notice it's also giving me it's selected against giving me all caps so let me change Bond discontinued I am going to so now I am I change the color that the way I change the color was by going to color and choosing a wife and then I'm going to go to my second picture going to return to ad and I'm going to go to photos upload a photo I'm going to transfer my second picture and then I'm going to click on those freely because I want to be able to fix where I want the picture to be so now I want this picture to go on this line and I'm going to answer my second question which is how did imperialism benefit the United States and now I have to go to add in text I'm going to press on your text. For and this is US history today is 10 seven 2020 and now there it is it's a little too big I'm going to make it over Mahler and I want it right there I can also use my keyboard the arrows to move it exactly where I was and if you think the screen is a little too small for you to work with you can extended or expanded with your mouse or and your fingers so there it is now I want to make sure I put my title here so this is my Imperial ISM poster and you don't have to worry about saving it as saves online and real-time every Everything You artist saves it automatically but now I want to download it to send it to my teacher so I'm going to press download and I'm going to I want to send it as a PDF a PNG jpeg Deerbrook pictures or images and if you prefer that of course your students can send it that way I prefer PDS so I'm going to start the download as a PDF and here it is security so this is my Imperial ISM project with pictures and sentences explaining what I learn the lesson and that is it students really like Adobe spark they really enjoy working with it it becomes very easy to use the more you play with it and I hope you enjoy it if you have any questions you let me know I hope this help thank you
